Commonwealth by Century: Right in the middle of a future property boom

MANILA, Philippines - Even its feng shui agrees – The Residences at Commonwealth by Century is located in an area seen to experience a property boom in the near future.

Citing the good balance in the project’s design and location, feng shui master Christopher Co said Commonwealth by Century “is also a good property for future investment as the value of the property will increase in the near future.”

The pronouncement solidly supports premium property developer Century Properties’ decision to launch The Residences at Commonwealth by Century, a 4.4-hectare masterplanned community that seeks to introduce “uncommon” living standards in Quezon City.

It is also proven by the visible progress in sections of Quezon City, including Commonwealth. Already, the next MRT expansion will run through the country’s widest road system as the government makes an effort to ease the populace’ mobility in the area. Interconnectivity is present as well, as seen in the rise of business process outsourcing firms in this vicinity.

In recent years, the Commonwealth area has also seen pockets of positive business development, as reflected by the rise of shopping centers as well as the mushrooming of business process outsourcing companies.

As the industry puts a premium on location, Century Properties has considered factors such as proximity to places that matter in developing the Commonwealth project to ensure its success. Schools, shopping centers, worship temples, medical facilities among other things in Commonwealth, are within convenient travel.

Earlier this year, development experts have also cited the potentials of Metro Manila’s largest city as one of the next hubs of development. With the existing central business districts already experiencing remarkable growth, areas that provide developers the right conditions such as proper interconnectivity infrastructure and transportation system are the next targets of developers.

“This indeed affirms that it is time to establish a residential project that reflects the bright future of Commonwealth,” Century Properties co-chief operating officer Marco Antonio said.

Century Properties launched The Residences at Commonwealth by Century in mid-2012. It is the latest in the developers’ roster of masterplanned communities. It also marked Century Properties’ first entry into the affordable segment. The Commonwealth project captures local and overseas buyers, mostly young professionals and startup families who have a budget from P2.5 million and up.

Despite the price point, Century Properties has worked to offer features and amenities on a scale never before done in Quezon City. This move is the developer’s way of bringing its stamp of innovation to various markets and price points.

“We’ve been known to push the envelope and the fast sales uptake of our Commonwealth project affirms that we have done right and definitely the best decision for our clients,” Antonio further said.

In creating the best living conditions, Century Properties is investing sizeable spaces that nurture its residents’ well being. Units have been allotted with extended balconies. Outside, there are landscapes with pocket gardens, several water features, two full-size basketball courts (outdoor and covered), sunken badminton courts and an athletic boot camp area.

It will also have a multi-level clubhouse designed with very distinct amenities: a crèche or day care center for toddlers, kindergarten for kids, study and library, advanced learning center, arts and crafts studio, dance studio, cooking studio and kitchen, school of rock (rock n’ roll center) and a screening room. There will be a complete gym and fitness center with provisions for a salon and a spa, yoga deck, multi-purpose hall for functions, a terrace and a roof deck.
