Breakthrough in termite control

MANILA, Philippines - Homeowners currently suffering from termite infestation in their dwellings may now look forward to a breakthrough technology in termite infestation control and prevention. This new product is proven to be more effective and efficient than traditional methods, which usually employ baiting mechanisms to attract and kill termites.

A special powder-form contact and systemic termiticide has been developed by a leading German chemical firm, and has been observed to eliminate all species of subterranean termites. Tested worldwide and under various extreme conditions such as in Australia, the breakthrough formulation is seen to be especially suited to tropical Philippine climate as well.

This termiticide is the first registered termite powder in the Philippines that is fast-kill and genuinely effective. The powder, when administered directly upon termite-infested surfaces and areas, is transferred from one termite to another through their normal activities such as mouth to mouth feeding and grooming behaviour. The affected termites bring the powder to their colony and expose all the termites with the chemical that eventually leads to the elimination of the whole colony.

Infested areas are effectively penetrated through the earthen tunnels and physical travel of the affected termites. The termiticide is reported to exterminate active termite population within three to four weeks and it only takes a few grams of the substance to effectively eliminate the whole colony.

For long-term maintenance and to prevent future infestation, the termite powdering technique is complemented with a liquid termicide treatment, immediately following successful elimination of termite activity in the area or structure. Additionally, the program is low-impact on the environment, and provides lasting control over termite infestation for at least five years. This German chemical firm will roll out the special termite treatment program only to licensed pest control operators.
