Kuok Group launches The Shang Grand Tower

Hong Kong-based conglomerate, the Kuok Group of Companies, launched its latest property development known as The Shang Grand Tower at ceremonies held at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel. Tomas C. Zita Jr., vice chairman of the Kuok Group in the Philippines, together with Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay unveiled the six-foot scale model of the luxury condominium project. Gracing the landmark event emceed by dynamic celebrity host Johnny Litton, were highly distinguished guests including Washington Sycip, Greggy Araneta, Rico Tantoco, Mila Garcia, Cesar Virtusio, Simon Tam, and Ng Meng Tam.

Standing 46 storeys high, The Shang Grand Tower will tower over all other buildings at its location at the corner of Dela Rosa, Perea, and Nieva Streets in Legaspi Village, right behind The Enterprise Center.

Zita reported that construction of The Shang Grand Tower is in full swing. The building’s substructture, which consists of four basement parking levels, has been completed on schedule. Fully funded by the Kuok Group, the project is adhering to its timetable, and is expected to be completed by the last quarter of 2005.

The Kuok Group is known throughout the Asia Pacific region through its chain of Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, which today consists of 41 properties. The Philippines hosts three of these properties: the Makati Shangri-La Hotel, the EDSA Shangri-la Hotel, and the Shangri-La Mactan Island Resort Hotel.

In addition, the Kuok Group in the Philippines developed The Enterprise Center in Makati and the Shangri-la Plaza Mall in Mandaluyong.

The Shang Grand Tower project has only 169 units remaining for sale. These consist of one bedroom, two bedroom and three bedroom units. Three high-speed elevators in each of the two lobbies service these luxury units.

The elegantly designed model units of The Shang Grand Tower can be viewed at the project’s sales office located at 4th Avenue corner Rizal Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, right in front of the Pacific Plaza condominiums.
