Peugeot 3008: The automotive poster boy for fuel efficiency

MANILA, Philippines - After successfully staging a series of Eco Fun Runs last year, Eurobrands Distributor Inc. (EDI), official importer of Peugeot vehicles in the country, has bared plans to continue with the fuel economy series this year.

“We are extremely pleased at the results of our Eco Fun Run series from last year. Through the series, we have been able to prove the superior diesel technology of our product offerings. The Peugeot 3008 in particular, which recorded an astounding 28.5 kilometers per liter in a run from Manila to Subic and back, showed that it has excellent fuel saving capabilities. Without a doubt, the Peugeot 3008 is the county’s poster boy for fuel efficiency. We will continue staging the Peugeot Eco Fun Run this year, with a provincial leg included in the plans,” revealed Dong Magsajo, Marketing Director of EDI.

The Peugeot Eco Fun Run was conceptualized to prove the superior European-bred diesel technology present in most Peugeot product offerings. In 2014, several new products featuring this same technology will be launched by EDI.

The marque reaffirms its environmental commitment by the implementation of e-HDi Diesel micro-hybridisation and the launch in 2012 of three full hybrid Diesel Hybrid4 models.

Peugeot is the only marque to offer a complete mobility package with private and commercial vehicles, scooters, bicycles, and a wide range of services, including the Mu mobility program.
