Cebu Landmasters starts Davao township development

MANILA, Philippines — Cebu Landmasters Inc. (CLI) has jumpstarted the development of the 22-hectare Davao Global Township (DGT).

CLI chief executive officer Jose Soberano III said “DGT would mark the coming of age of Davao City which is among Southeast Asia’s key cities.”

DGT is a project of YHEST Realty Development Corp., which is CLI’s joint venture with the Yuson, Huang and Tan families belonging to the established Villa-Abrile clan of Davao.

YHEST president Fred Yuson said DGT is envisioned to transform the former Matina Davao Golf Club into a global and iconic central business district.

The project will host the headquarters of top corporations in the country, office hubs of BPOs and multinationals.

Part of DGT’s Phase 1 is the P700 million lifestyle mall called the DGT City Center that will be a landmark destination presenting an array of retail, restaurant and entertainment choices.

The East Village at DGT is the residential development in the township with over 2,000 residential unit offerings spread across the six-tower vertical village. It has generated P4.07 billion in sales.

The newly launched and sold-out three towers with a total of 1,087 units will break ground in the second quarter and are scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2026.

The residential units are a mix of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units with floor areas from 22.3 square meters to 75 sqm.

Amenities include playgrounds, a basketball court, lap pool, jogging paths, gardens, parks and a chapel. The East Village along with a lifestyle mall and cultural center is part of Phase 1 of the 22-hectare DGT, the first and largest premier central business district of Davao City. The township’s land development which includes utilities and road network is nearing 100 percent completion.

Aside from DGT, CLI is developing other townships including the 100-hectare Minglanilla Techno Techno Business Park (Ming-Mori) in Cebu, the 14-hectare Manresa Town in CDO, and more future estate projects in Cebu and Bacolod.
