DTI launches online platform for MSMEs, IPs

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has launched an online platform to help micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and indigenous people (IPs) market artisanal products  survive the Covid-19 pandemic.

The National Arts and Crafts Fair (NACF) Artisanal Shop is an online hub for products of IPs, local weavers, and artisans from 17 community-partners in the country.

It features wardrobe staples like neckties, scarves, earrings, and woven fabric face masks; home accessories such as baskets, planters, and pillowcases; trinkets and gifts for any occasion; snacks and wine; as well as teas best paired with honey.

“With our 2025 vision of a more inclusive and prosperous Philippines, the online NACF Artisanal Shop will give broader market access both locally and globally to the products of our artisanal communities,” Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez said.

“This, in turn, will create employment opportunities that will provide decent income for our people and support our poverty alleviation efforts,” he said.
