Strengthening mental toughness for leaders

MANILA, Philippines — To help leaders and managers achieve a winning mindset that leads, motivates and engages people, the Center for Global Best Practices is launching a pioneering program titled, “Strengthening Mental Toughness for Leaders and Managers:  Going Beyond Stress Management” on Dec. 5 and 6, 2019 at the Marriott Grand Ballroom, Resorts World Complex, Pasay City.

Whether you are a people manager, leader or someone who wants to simply increase individual peak performance, this program will teach you the great foundational principles of the psychology of success and transcendence of our human potential. Discussions will cover how one can successfully manage mental makeup, emotions, attitudes, paradigms, personal myths, relationships and spiritual aspects to live the ideal life you always wanted to have. This training will help you unleash your potentials and become a better person that is resilient to any stress, toxic relationships, and daily challenges in the workplace.

This two-day program is also in compliance with RA 11036 or Mental Health Act that took effect on July 5, 2018 and Department of Labor and Employment’s IRR on RA 11058 on occupational safety and health of employees that took effect on Jan. 24, 2019. Attendees will learn the secrets on how to develop the winning mindset and emotional strength that will help overcome any unconscious obstacles and to help you completely fulfill your business and life goals.

This special program will feature the only recognized trainer who runs this program in Asia, Robin Michael Velasco. He was the HR vice president for six years of Metro Pacific Investments Corp. (MPIC), the holding company of the Philippines’ largest power distribution company, 12 of the largest hospitals, the largest tollroad network and water distribution company. Prior to this, he was the HR director for Asia in Synovate, leading the HR function for 12 countries. He was also the HR director for talent management for Asia Pacific, for Johnson and Johnson from 2005 to 2007. Presently, he is an independent director and the interim CEO of Potato Corner – overseeing over 1,500 branches globally.

In this pioneering program, he will make use of principles that he has learned in his masters degree in existential, humanistic and transpersonal psychology at Saybrook University in the US, the best school which teaches this specialized discipline.
