Sky Cable rolls put new broadband plan

MANILA, Philippines - The enterprise solutions arm of Sky Cable Corp. has rolled out a new broadband plan targeted for home-based businesses or start-ups.

In a statement, SkyBiz said it launched HomeBiz 1899, a broadband plan to cater to the needs of micro-entrepreneurs.

“We are excited about this product as it is specially created for the home-based business segment. This is a growing sector that can further be boosted with the right digital connectivity, enablers, and support,” said Rina de Guzman, head of SkyBiz micro, small and medium enterprises business unit.

Homebiz 1899 provides users with speeds of up to 10 Mbps without data cap.

At 10 Mbps, users could have online meetings or teleconferences.

“With this new product offering, Sky aims to serve the special need of the home-based start-up and micro entrepreneurs beyond basic connectivity. Our fast business grade broadband offer has a better committed internet ratio versus standard residential plans, which means more bandwidth for business use,” De Guzman said.

The HomeBiz 1899 plan comes with a free cable subscription.
