MANILA, Philippines - Logistics company LBC Express Inc. and PERA HUB have inked a partnership agreement aimed at growing their respective businesses.
PERA HUB, majority owned by Aboitiz Equity Ventures, is currently the largest Western Union agent in the country with 2,100 branches.
Under the agreement, LBC outlets will offer payout services for transactions sent via Western Union services in all of its over 1,400 locations nationwide, thus providing more convenience to consumers.
LBC president and COO Miguel Camahort said the partnership was in line with the company’s overall vision and thrust.
PETNET likewise welcomed the partnership. “We are excited to have LBC on-board. This will definitely open up new opportunities for both businesses with regard to the remittance industry,” said PETNET president Lorenzo Ocampo.
For his part, Western Union country director Jeffrey Navarro said the collaboration expands the group’s network across the country.
“We are pleased with this collaboration between PETNET and LBC. Having Western Union services available in LBC branches nationwide is aligned with our plans of expanding our network footprint in the country and making our services more accessible to consumers,” Navarro said.
