SSS branches in Albay, Sorsogon get makeover

MANILA, Philippines – The Social Security System will be revamping its branches in two provinces to provide better services for its members.

In an advisory, the fund has formally invited interested firms for the renovation of its branches in the province of Sorsogon, and the cities of Legazpi and Tabaco in the province of Albay.

SSS has a budget of P2.68 million for the improvement of its Sorsogon branch which would already include electro-mechanical works.

The fund has also set aside P1.14 million for its Legazpi branch and another P1.25 million for its Tabaco branch, both of which are for the refurbishment of the facilities.

A pre-bid conference has been set on Oct. 22 at the SSS main office in Diliman, Quezon City. The deadline and opening of bids, meanwhile, is scheduled on Nov. 5.

The complete set of bidding documents has already been made available at the SSS main office since Oct. 12.

SSS reminded interest bidders they should have completed a contract similar to the project before seeking to join the auction.

At the same time, the bidding has been restricted to Filipino citizens and organizations whose ownership must be at least 70 percent Filipino.

“The SSS reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, to annul the bidding process, and to reject all bids at any time prior to contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to the affected bidder or bidders,” the fund said.
