Agrilink trade expo puts spotlight on crops, agribusiness

MANILA, Philippines - The Foundation for Resource Linkage and Development will hold the 2015 Agrilink Foodlink and Aqualink International Exhibit  to promote the importance of enhancing focus on complimentary agricultural crops and agribusiness activities.

The trade expo opens  today until Oct. 17  at  the World Trade Center, with the theme, “Regional agribusiness development: Cornerstone of inclusive growth.”

Agribusiness organizations participating in the event are: the Korea Agricultural Machinery Industry Cooperative, Univet Nutrition and Animal Healthcare Co., Pronatural Feed  Corp., Richfund,  Allied Botanical, Netherlands-based Koppert Biological Systems, Macondray, Santeh, Vim Vertex,   Trigonal Agritech, the University of the Philippines-Los Baños’ Postharvest Horticulture Training and Research Center, Organic Producer Trade Association and Philippine Commercial Organik Fertilizer Producers Association, Nutriquest,  the National Development Co. and the Cooperative Development Authority.  

Government agribusiness organizations joining the event are: DA-Agribusiness and Marketing Service Assistance, Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization, Bureau of Agricultural Research, Bureau of Animal Industry, Bureau of Agriculture and Fisheries Product Standards which will be awarding Good Animal Husbandry Practices certifications to livestock and poultry farmers, Philippine Rice Research Institute and Department of Agrarian Reform.  Visitors can pre-register their attendance through www.agrilink.org.
