MANILA, Philippines - SM Hotels and Conventions Corp. (SMHCC), a subsidiary of SM Investments Corp., announced that it has opened Park Inn by Radisson Davao, the first “next generation†mid-scale Park Inn by Radisson hotel brand to be established in Asia Pacific.
The March 22 launch was graced by Trade and Industry Secretary Gregory Domingo, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group (Asia Pacific) president Simon Barlow and executive vice president for revenue generation Lucinda Semark, Tourism regional director Art Boncato, councilor Al Ryan Alejandre, city investment and tourism officer Jason Magnaye, and other local VIP’s.
The 204-room Park Inn by Radisson Davao is the second in the Philippines managed by one of the world’s largest hotel chains, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, after Radisson Blu in Cebu.
The hotel is situated beside the SM Lanang Premier Mall and the SMX Convention Center in Davao. Contemporary rooms and suites offer beautiful landscape views of the islands and highlands in Davao City, and the hotel’s free high-speed Internet keeps guests connected. Adhering to its Adding Color to Life service philosophy, the hotel features a spacious lobby lounge which is a venue for socializing and relaxation. The hotel also showcases local flavors in its restaurant, bar and grill which offers locally-inspired specialties and classic dishes.
