Walang general sa ‘ninja cops’ - Digong

MANILA, Philippines — Nilinaw kahapon ni Pangulong Duterte na walang general sa “ninja cops” na nauna niyang inihayag sa Russia.

Inamin kahapon ng Pangulo sa Davao City na nalito lamang siya sa mga ranggo sa pulisya.

“I must admit my ignorance actually... Walang generals na dumating sa akin. Wala, nalilito kasi ako sa superintendent superintendent na yan,” paliwanag ng Pangulo.

Naunang sinabi ng Pangulo habang nasa Russia na may 2 gene­ral na sangkot sa illegal drugs.

Nilinaw din niya na kailangang rebyuhin ang ginawang imbestigasyon ng Senado sa ninja cops.

“Pag tama lahat, i-a­dopt ko but then there has to be a process, it has to undergo a procedural due process,” wika ng Pangulo pagdating nito sa Davao mula sa Russia.

Iginiit pa ni Pangulong Duterte na buo pa rin ang tiwala niya kay PNP Chief Oscar Albayalde.

“Otherwise I would have told him to go out,” wika niya.

“Give me the proof that he was on the take or the trafficking of drugs. But just because he was the... May tinawagan siya? I could not just do a knee jerk. I have to follow procedural due process and allow in time to answer. The right to be heard,” sabi pa ni Duterte.

Ilang senador ang nanawagan kay Alba­yalde na magbitiw na ito sa puwesto o mag-early retirement dahil sa kontrobersya ng 2013 Pampanga cops noong siya pa ang provincial director.

“I am the Executive so I execute the laws. We will study, Sec. Año will study the matter very carefully. Yung mga criminal bigyan mo ng presumption of innocence, you know Albayalde is the PNP chief,” dagdag ni Duterte.

Nang tanungin naman ang Pangulo kung makapili na ng susunod na PNP chief sa pagreretiro ni ALbayalde sa Nov. 8 ay wala pa daw itong napipili.

“Not yet, yan ang mahirap. We have to vet, I have to consult everybody. Maya maya madapa na naman tapos ako ang magkaroon ng problema,” paliwanag pa ng Pangulo.
