CEBU, Philippines — Nitubag na ang ABS-CBN sa suwat ni CHED Commissioner Ronald Adamat kalabot sa isyu sa seryeng Bagani nga gibidahan nila ni Liza Soberano ug Enrique Gil.
Kahinumdoman nga nangayo og eksplinasyon si Adamat sa ABS-CBN kon unsa ang basehanan niini sa pagamit sa terminong ‘Bagani’ nga usa ka pulong alang sa Indigenous People (IP) .
Sa press statement sa ABS-CBN, gitataw sa maong network nga ang Bagani wala mo- claim nga “historical account of Philippine history or culture.”
Dugang pa sa maong istasyon nga ang Bagani usa ka TV series nagtanyag og “alternative fictional universe” nga duna’y elements sa Filipino mythology ug folklore.
“With all due respect, the use of “Bagani” is not in any way intended to malign or to disrespect beliefs of the Indigenous Peoples’ communities, but instead hopes to propagate the values, morals, and ethics that are inherent in a ‘Bagani’—a Filipino warrior, protector, and hero,” tipik sa statement sa ABS-CBN.
