Chamber Beat: CCCI congratulates 38 solo mothers in Bantayan, Cebu

CEBU, Philippines —  The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, together with the New Zealand Embassy Manila, graduated 38 Solo Mothers during the culmination program held on July 23, 2021 at the Municipality of Bantayan and broadcast live via Zoom.

Despite challenges of internet connectivity in the Island of Bantayan, 38 Solo Mothers proudly finished their ICT & Life Skills Training Program.

The graduation program was graced with inspiring messages from the New Zealand Embassy Aid Programme Manager, Ms. Dyan Mabunga Rodriguez, CCCI President Felix Taguiam and Bantayan Mayor Arthur E. Despi.

The Solo Mothers of Bantayan, Cebu underwent rigorous skills training on Information and Communications Technology (ICT) with the expertise of its trainers, Ms. Claire Fernandez as Lead-Trainer and Co-Trainer, Engr. Royden Rusiana of DICT Visayas Cluster 2 and Life Skills Program with Mr. Alexander Vincent Ruñez as Lead Trainer and assisted by Mr. Vernito Publio Boholst as co-Trainer of AXL Trainings.

The graduation ceremony marks the beginning of another journey of these empowered solo mothers and CCCI only hopes that the learnings they gained in the program will equip them as they venture into the digital world and help them seize economic opportunities for growth and success.

Some of the mothers shared their heartfelt gratitude as they share the impacts of the training programs in their lives. Certificates and Special Awards were also given to the mothers.
