Vic will be dad for 5th time

Ricky Lo - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - During Eat, Bulaga’s birthday tribute to Vic “Bossing” Sotto yesterday, Vic proudly announced that, seriously now, his wife Pauleen Luna is pregnant — 10 weeks on Tuesday, May 9, to be exact. Initially, Vic joked that he had an important announcement, saying, “Buntis ako!” prompting Pauleen to gently rub his tummy, before breaking the good news.

Vic turned 63 on April 28, while Pauleen is 28. But the 35-year age gap doesn’t seem to matter. When she was barely 10 years old, with a missing front tooth, Pauleen competed in Bulaga’s Little Miss Philippines contest and it was Vic, towering over her, who interviewed her. They got married on Jan. 30, 2016 and since then they have been traveling the world, including to Africa, Japan and Thailand last March where Pauleen is presumed to have started conceiving.

By late November or early December, Vic will be a dad for the fifth time. He has two children (Oyo Boy and Danica) with ex-wife Dina Bonnevie, the first woman he married; one (Vico, a councilor in Pasig City) with former Bulaga co-host Coney Reyes; and one (Paulina who got married a few months ago) with Angela Luz…and six grandchildren, four by Oyo Boy and wife Kristine Hermosa, and two by Danica and husband Marc Pingris.

Yesterday on Bulaga, Vic’s children and grandchildren were shown separately on video dancing to the beat of a disco tune, as a dedication to their dad. His three exes (Dina, Coney and Angela) were not present at the studio but Paulina appeared as player in the  Jackpot En Poy segment.

According to a confidant, Pauleen wanted to keep her pregnancy a secret and was surprised when Vic announced it. Left with no choice, Pauleen posted her “baby bump” on social media, captioned, “Baby on board.”

Congrats!!! Tatay na (uli!) si Bossing!
