At 2 p.m. yesterday, a low pressure area was estimated at 800 kms east of Luzon. The southwest monsoon affects Luzon.

Luzon will experience monsoon rains, which may trigger flash floods and landslides, while the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Coastal waters in central and southern Luzon and the Visayas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, seas will be slight to moderate, except during thunderstorms.

Temperature forecasts: Metro Manila, 24-30 degrees Celsius; Baguio City, 16-18; Tagaytay City, 22-28; Subic and Clark zone, 23-29; Metro Cebu, 26-33; Metro Davao, 24-33; and Cagayan de Oro, 22-33.

Tidal predictions in Manila Bay: high tide at 8:34 a.m. at 1.13 meters; low tide at 5:06 p.m. at 0.34 meter. Sunrise is at 5:25 a.m.; sunset at 6:23 p.m.
