Elorde anniversary derby up

MANILA, Philippines — The Elorde Cockpit Stadium is hosting its four-cock anniversary derby on Nov. 27 in Sucat, Paranaque.

Promoted by businessman-sportsman Johnny Elorde, the derby has a guaranteed prize of P300,000 with the entry fee pegged at P11,000. The handler and gaffer of the winning entry receive P20,000 and P10,000, respectively.

Among the participants are Nene Aguilar (Las Piñas), Alex Tobias, Teves brothers (Ringo Teves) – Biñan Laguna, Silver Mallet (Jessie Marquez), Wolverine, Talaba Cockpit, Jun Bacolod, Erick Don Enrique, Team Roligon, and Novelita Coliseum.

Meanwhile, a one-cock Ulutan Fastest Kill will be held today with JT Farm, Jovel and Edgar Malaya Batangas as hosts. Pot money is P900, registration P200. Awards for fastest kills are P8,000 (first fastest kill), P4,000 (second), P3,000 (third), P6,000 (fourth), P12,000 (fifth), P3,000 (sixth), P7,000 (seventh) and P3,000 (eighth).
