Pasay stagfest final round under way

MANILA, Philippines - The Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association (LGBA) seven-stag derby holds its final round today with more than 40 entries disputing the crown at Pasay City Cockpit.

Twelve breeders have posted three wins in the elims, all eyeing the P1 million guaranteed prize and the trophy in the circuit’s opening leg, according to LGBA president Nick Crisostomo.

Still part of the first leg battle of the circuit, sponsored by Sagupaan Complexor 3000, is the seven-stage derby on Aug. 4, 11 and 18 (LGBA old stags); Aug. 21, 25, 28 and Sept. 1 and 8 (LGBA regular stags).

Meanwhile, the PCC braces for its 31st Anniversay four-cock derby on Monday with 40 entries expected. Entries must be submitted on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
