DLSU vs FEU; SBC faces UP in Filoil quarterfinals

MANILA, Philippines - La Salle steps up its title retention drive as it faces Far Eastern U while San Beda and University of the Philippines tangle in the other match kicking off the quarterfinal round fo the Filoil Flying V Premier Cup in San Juan today.

The Archers and the Group B topnotcher Tams collide at 5 p.m. after the 3:15 p.m. clash between the unbeaten Red Lions and the Fighting Maroons at the Filoil Flying V Center.

Meanwhile, Lyceum, which posted a 6-2 slate in Group A in the elims, takes on San Sebastian College, which also had a 6-2 card in the elims, at 11:15 a.m. while Adamson, Group B’s second seed (6-2) faces Jose Rizal U (5-3) in the other match at 1:30 p.m.

La Salle nipped rival Ateneo for the last quarters berth but the Archers, who finished the elims at 5-3, are in for a tough outing against the Tams, who lorded it over the Group B field with a 7-1 slate. 

The Tamaraws look formidable with the North American backcourt tandem of Jasper Parker and JR Ramirez and former Ateneo Blue Eagles Hubert Cani and Arvin Tolentino.
