Blatche to miss remainder of Jones Cup

TAIPEI – Gilas Pilipinas naturalized player Andray Blatche will be missing altogether the 2015 Jones Cup.

Blatche will no longer be able to play a single game as he’s now set to arrive here Sunday night when Team Phl has played all eight matches in the single-round-robin competition among nine teams.

Originally, he’s to come back here Saturday after attending the funeral of an uncle back in the US.

Blatche had his flight ticket rebooked to be with his ailing mother as they return home from New York.

In missing the Jones Cup, Gilas Pilipinas will have only three more warm-up games with Blatche in the MVP Cup in Manila from September 11-13.

Blatche has played three previous games in Estonia against the Netherlands, Iceland and the home team.
