Illegal gun maker nabbed

CEBU, Philippines - Police on Thursday evening arrested a suspected illegal manufacturer of guns in Leyte province, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group said.

The CIDG, in a GMA-7 News report, said its team served a search warrant on the house of Cleto Molo at Barangay Guindapunan West in Carigara town of Leyte.

Police then confiscated a carbine rifle, a caliber-.45 pistol, a caliber-.357 handgun, two caliber-.38 revolvers, two caliber-.22 handguns and an improvised 5.56mm pistol.

Also seized were a homemade 5.56mm handgun, a homemade 12-gauge shotgun, a caliber-.22 rifle, some unserviceable firearms and tools for gun making. (FREEMAN)
