Pedophile nabbed in Cagayan

TUGUEGARAO, Philippines – A wanted American pedophile has been arrested by agents of the Bureau of Immigration (BI) in this city.

Cody Dean Turner, who was collared at his residence in Barangay Tanza on Sunday, was convicted for molesting a nine-year-old girl in Arkansas in 1999. 

A court in Greene County, Missouri has issued warrants for Turner’s arrest for a string of criminal cases.

BI Commissioner Jaime Morente said Turner would be deported and blacklisted to prevent him from returning to the country.

Turner is a threat to Filipino children and the US embassy sought the BI’s help for his arrest, Morente said.

The embassy told the BI that the US State Department has revoked Turner’s passport.
