CEBU, Philippines - At least two bus drivers have been apprehended by the agents of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board-7 after they were cited for failure to carry their franchise during inspection yesterday.

Emil Membrillas, LTFRB-7 assistant information officer, said they were conducting inspection at the terminal yesterday as part of the preparations for the observance of "Kalag-Kalag" when they caught the two violators.

"Nipahigayon mi og kalit kalit nga inspeksyon kauban ni regional director alang sa preparasyon na sa kalag-kalag," Membrillas said.

During the inspection, bus drivers were asked to present all the necessary documents to operate such as license, registration, official receipt and franchise. Aside from the inspection, LTFRB personnel also started setting up complaint desks at the terminals.

"Atol sa inspection nagtaud sab mi sa amoang tarp ug complaint desk para sa Oplan Ligtas Biyahe Undas 2016," he said.

Membrillas said the two drivers were caught at the Cebu South Bus Terminal. They will be fined P2,000 for failure to carry franchise.

He reminded all bus drivers to always bring the important documents with them.

"Dad-on gyud nila ila mga dokumento aron aduna silay ikapakita," Membrillas said.

Meanwhile, Membrillas said they are still accepting application for special permit for those who want to travel out of line during the All Souls' Day and All Saints' Day.

He said a special permit is needed for the drivers and operators to avoid getting apprehended for colorum operation.

"Padayon gihapon ta nanawat og request for special permit aron kadto ganahan molabyog dili sila matawag nga kolurom ug dad-on sa mga magparehistro ang ilang OR, CR, franchise, ug hulagway sa tag-iya sa maong sakyanan nga kuhaan og permit," Membrillas said. (FREEMAN)
