Inayos muna ang negosyong kape bago lumipad Sam mag-aaral din ng akting sa New York

Did you know na bago pala umalis for New York si Sam Milby reportedly to take up a course in acting, he first attended the opening ng bagong bukas niyang coffee shop na tinawag nilang Third District.

And guess why pinangalanan niyang Third District ang kanyang kabubukas na business?

“Located kasi ito,” he said, “sa Katipunan Avenue, na sakop ng Third District ng Quezon City.”

Sam, as we all know, also owns a bar cum resto located naman sa Fort Strip in Bonifacio Global City. Named Prost Braumeister, it specializes in German cuisine.

Actually, according to Sam, he doesn’t own these two restaurants alone. May kasosyo siya, ang kaibigan niyang si Dom Herrandes.

“Sa kanya both nanggaling ang ideya what our restaurants should specialize in.

“Traveler kasi si Dom. And it was in one of his visits to Canada that he came upon a coffee shop, who serves coffee na, according to him, didn’t only tastes good, but yummy as well,” ani Sam.

The coffee shop, named Forty Ninth Parallel Roasters in Vancouver, Canada ay kilala bilang unang nagpakilala sa mga Canadians ng roasters coffee.

Immediately daw, naisip ni Dom na tiyak magugustuhan din ng mga Filipino coffee drinkers ang taste ng roasters coffee. Kaya agad itong nakipag-usap sa may-ari ng coffeeshop, who, just in a matter of an hour, agreed na mag-supply ng roaster coffee sa bubuksang coffee shop nila ni Sam sa Pilipinas.

The rest, wika nga is history.

When Sam arrives home, he and Dom might decide to open a branch of Third District.

Business-minded talaga itong si Sam.

Kung matatandaan ninyo, he was the first actor na nakaisip ng negosyong build a house and afterwards sell it.

This was when he had his first house, built in Pasig City and someone liked it and was willing to buy the property.

He must have made quite a killing sa negosasyong iyon. He had another house built reportedly in another subdivision, but this time decided not to sell it.

Now guess who we learn is engaged in this business now?

Zoren Legaspi, that’s who.

Zoren though, like wife Carmina Villaroel, still agree to do TV and mo­vies, if he said a good offer comes along.

Alex aminado na OA talaga siya!

Guess daw how her young sister Alex Gonzaga, reacted when she (Toni Gonzaga) confronted her (Alex) one day and pointblank told her na karamihan sa mga nakausap niya commented na masyadong OA (over acting) ang nakababatang Gonzaga.

Well, without batting an eyelash, ani raw ni Alex: “Totoo naman ang observation nila.

“Pero, aminin nila na ito ang kakaiba sa akin compared sa mga kasabayan ko.

“And I am glad they are taking me for what I am,” saad pa raw ni Alex.

Now that The Voice of the Philippines, which the two of them co-host kasama sina Luis Manzano at Robi Domingo has ended, the two of them will be both busy sa kanilang new assignments. Si Toni sa Season 10 ng Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) at si Alex naman sa kanyang   series na Inday Bote.
