Which is better, the BBL or a federal system?

Because the issue of the Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) has been given high-priority by the Aquino regime… where loyal Aquino supporters vow to have this law approved by June, despite the fact that the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) has not fully cooperated with the Board of Inquiry (BOI) on the Mamasapano, Maguindanao massacre of the 44 Fallen SAF.

Suddenly, Netizens in Facebook have uploaded numerous photos of members of the MILF with all kinds of high-powered weapons, which would make our soldiers in the Philippine military drool with envy.

Sure the MILF do not have helicopters or aircraft, but when it comes to combat on the ground and gauging from the weapons that we saw… they are a force to reckon with! Why are these photographs being downloaded by angry Netizens? First, these Netizens who come from Mindanao are scared that when the BBL is signed and the MILF gets the P70 billion that is being promised to them, the people in Mindanao are scared that this monies will be used to purchase more weapons to make their army stronger.

In the end, the MILF won’t be contented with the territory that the Aquino regime would hand over to them and start expanding their territory, similar to what Adolf Hitler did in the Sudetenland before the start of World War II. We already read that report coming from the MILF that they got most of their high-powered weapons from corrupt AFP personnel.

Frankly speaking, I don’t believe that a Filipino soldier would sell his firearm just to make money knowing fully well that the weapon that he would sell to the MILF would be used against his buddies or worse… against himself. But just the same, I believe that the AFP should investigate this. If there is anything that I would like to find out, it is whether or not the Logistics Command keeps a strict inventory of the weaponry of the AFP.

Last week, AFP Chief General Gregorio Pio Catapang Jr. ordered the Western Mindanao Command (WESTMINCOM) to launch “all-out offensive operations against the BIFF.” He ordered this because of the news that some 20,000 people have been displaced by attacks supposedly done by the BIFF. If you ask me, Gen. Catapang should have conducted hot pursuit operations against armed elements in Maguindanao, regardless of their titles or names, whether they are MILF, BIFF, NPA or Abu Sayyaf.

I only have high-respect for Gen. Catapang, especially when he exposed some of the so-called Morong 43… those New People’s Army (NPA) disguised as health workers who were arrested in a legitimate operation in Morong Rizal in February 2010. Yet when Pres. Benigno “P-Noy” Aquino III assumed the Presidency in July of 2010, by December 2010, Justice Secretary Leila de Lima effected the release of the Morong 43. Now who advised or ordered these enemies of the state to be released? Pray tell us Secretary De Lima…why did you release the Morong 43?

At this point, let me warn Gen. Catapang that an all-out war vs. the BIFF will fail for the simple reason that terrorists use the same tactics, where, when the AFP corners them they will show their MILF patch. This has been happening in many areas already because of some kind of modus vivendi between the MILF and the BIFF and yes, even the NPAs.

Also in Facebook was a report by Jamela Alindongan of Al Jazeera where Nur Misuari openly admitted that in the heyday of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF), they got financial and weapons support from Malaysia. This is the same Malaysia that dropped the MNLF and formed the MILF. This is why we’ve been saying that peace could never come to Mindanao even if they pass the BBL as it only favors one Muslim separatist group. A better solution is to shift to a federal system of governance, which should favor all Muslims regardless of the names of their organizations.

Meanwhile there are also reports about certain Muslim groups in Mindanao supporting the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). This should be investigated otherwise this could be a cancer that would affect the entire Philippines if it were not checked. We already know that the Western Nations have become inutile in stopping the brutality of ISIS, especially when it beheads Christian minorities in the Middle East. As prophesied by the Blessed Virgin Mary, at the end of times, hell will be emptied… and it seems that this is already happening to this world.

We all saw on CNN, BBC and Al Jazeera how ISIS thugs using sledgehammers and power drills smash those ancient and irreplaceable figurines that are 3,000 years old in a museum in Mosul, Iraq. Clearly ISIS just wants to destroy the culture of the Iraqis… even if those statues date back as far as in the time of Nineveh or the Assyrian Empires. I was truly horrified to see this happening with the whole world watching that video courtesy of satellite television. God help us because Satan is on a killing rampage!
