LIVE: House probe into Bilibid prison drug trade

MANILA, Philippines – The members of the House Representatives on Thursday reopens the investigation into the illegal drug trade inside the National Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City.

The House Committee on Justice inquiry will be lead by its chair, Oriental Mindoro Rep. Reynaldo Umali, is it resumes the probe after the arrest of Ronnie Dayan, the former driver of Sen. Leila de Lima.

Dayan allegedly collected money from drug lord to fund De Lima’s senatorial bid. De Lima, however, has issued a blanket denial that she is involved in the drug trade.
