Boats to Galera to increase fares

CALAPAN CITY, Philippines – All motorized boats going to Puerto Galera town in Oriental Mindoro are hiking fares starting today due the rising prices of fuel, the Maritime Industry Authority (Marina) said yesterday.

With the increase, the one-way passenger fare will now be P250 from P230, and the round-trip ticket, P500 from P450, according to Marina.

The promotional fares of all boats to and from the Oriental Mindoro and Batangas City ports will also be suspended because of the influx of passengers and tourists this Holy Week, Marina said.
