Elderly man stabs son-in-law over missing cellphone charger
MANILA, Philippines — A 74-year-old man allegedly stabbed his son-in-law because he could not find his missing mobile phone charger on Monday.
Teodulo Cerro and Ricardo Tan, 51, had an argument over Cerro’s missing charger at the suspect’s house in Barangay Bagong Silangan at around 11 p.m., said Superintendent Rossel Cejas, Quezon City Police District Station 6 commander.
Tan avoided his father-in-law and sat on a sofa at the living room. However, the suspect followed him.
A witness told probers Cerro pulled out a knife and stabbed Tan once in the back, then fled from the scene on foot.
Tan's wife brought him to East Avenue Medical Center for treatment.
Police have launched a manhunt for Cerro.
