DPWH official gunned down in Batangas

BATANGAS — A 59-year old official of the Department of Public Works and Highway was gunned down while inside his house compound in Tanauan City, Batangas on Saturday morning, police said
 
Tanauan police chief Superintendent Audie Madrideo identified the victim as Engr. Fernando Landicho, the assistant district engineer of DPWH in Carmona, Cavite.
 
Landicho was cleaning his car at the garage in his house at Purok 2 Barangay Bañadero when the gunman approached and shot him around 11:20 a.m., the report said.
 
After the shooting, the gunman walked casually and rode on a waiting motorcycle of a cohort. They sped towards Talisay town.
 
Based on a CCTV camera footage at Barangay Talaga, the suspects were onboard a black and white Mio motorcycle. 
 
Police are now conducting an operation against the two suspects who were both wearing long sleeves with a hood, baseball cap and sunglasses.
 
Probers have yet to determine the motive of the killing.
