6 inmates escape from Laguna jail

CAMP VICENTE LIM – Six detainees bolts out from San Pedro Police Station detention cell early Tuesday morning, police said.
 
Superintendent Chitadel Gaoiaran, Region 4 Public Information Officer Chief identified the escapees as Benjo Lopena, Mark Joseph Varias, Jordan Mahusay, Ed Niño Lozada, Rey Erenia and Arvin Lizarda.
 
Gaoiaran said the suspects were all facing drug cases.
 
According to report, the suspects managed to cut the steel bars of their cell before escaling out around 4:30 a.m.
 
The jailbreak was discovered by Duty Jailer PO2 Jovencio Piodo and Duty Desk Officer PO3 Crisman Manabat.
 
Meantime, Police Superintendent Harold  Depositar, chief of police of San Pedro and the duty guards are given 24 hours to recapture the escapee or they will be relieved administratively.
