Drug sting leads to cybersex den

The Philippine Star

ILOILO CITY, Philippines – An anti-drug operation launched yesterday against alleged Taiwanese drug pushers led to the discovery of a suspected cybersex den on Boracay Island.

A Taiwanese man was arrested for selling a sachet of shabu to undercover agents, but 25 others, including six women, were collared after a raid on their rented home in a villa in Sitio Bulabog in Barangay Balabag reportedly yielded telephones and laptop computers used in cybersex operations.

Senior Inspector Jess Baylon, Boracay Tourist Assistance Center chief, said they had monitored the villa for several months.

“There were only three Taiwanese men who rented the house, but we received reports that there were a lot of cooking materials and laundry equipment,” Baylon said.

He said cocaine, Ecstasy pills, shabu and unidentified liquid in several containers were recovered at the scene.

Baylon said the Bureau of Immigration and the police Anti-Cyber Crime Group would conduct an inventory of those arrested and the seized items. – Jennifer Rendon, Cecille Suerte Felipe
