Perseus Echeminada - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A 28-year-old delivery van driver from Davao City has claimed the jackpot of the Oct. 9 draw of the 6/42 lotto game, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced yesterday.

Jose Ferdinand Rojas II, PCSO acting chairman, said the winner hit the six digit winning combination 01-06-07-11-17-26 with the jackpot of P7,559,576.

The winner said he had been betting on the number combination for the past six months.

When asked why he did not immediately claim his winnings, the driver told Rojas that he only checked the results last week.

The winner plans to buy a house and lot, a passenger van and deposit his winnings in the bank.
