3 stabbed dead in QC

MANILA, Philippines — Three men were killed in separate stabbing incidents in Quezon City over the weekend.

Police identified the fatalities as Allan Balacio, 19; Anthony Rogen Briones, 32, and Jojit Iroma, 25. 

Balacio was stabbed in the chest by an unidentified assailant in Barangay Bagong Silangan at around 11:45 p.m. on Saturday.

He was rushed to the East Avenue Medical Center where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Briones was killed by a group of men allegedly led by Richie Banal along Atis street in Barangay Payatas A at dawn yesterday.

Probers said the victim was allegedly drunk when he figured in an altercation with the suspects.

Briones died at the scene.

In Barangay Baesa, Iroma was allegedly killed by Alan Canarez, whose son was stabbed and injured by the former during a rumble along SB Road.

The cases were turned over to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit of the Quezon City police.
