3 hurt as taxi slams into trike

MANILA, Philippines - Three persons were injured when a taxi rear-ended a tricycle on the Buendia flyover’s southbound lane along Roxas Boulevard in Pasay City before dawn yesterday.

Police said when the Jim Loi taxi (AAB-5013) hit the motorcycle driven by Elmer Carreon, the impact threw him against the taxi’s windshield while tricycle passengers Rafael Jayonilla and Josefina Campo were pinned in their seats.

The taxi driver fled on foot. Police officer are investigating whether a driver’s license left behind in the taxi belongs to the driver.
