Burglar caught stealing TV from cop’s house

MANILA, Philippines - A man was arrested after he allegedly tried to steal a television from a police official’s house in Quezon City Thursday afternoon.

Chief Inspector Ronald Rivera himself collared Leopoldo Saludares, 42, at his home along Masaya street in Barangay Old Capitol Site at around 1:45 p.m.

Investigators said Rivera was awakened by the noise made by Saludares as the suspect took his flat-screen television.

Rivera, his service firearm in hand, caught Saludares as he tried to flee. He turned the suspect over to the Anonas police station.
