‘Technical problems’ bug MRT-3

Robertzon Ramirez - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The Metro Rail Transit 3 (MRT-3) was troubled by unspecified “technical problems” yesterday.

In the rail line’s official website, it stated that the first incident occurred at the Shaw Boulevard station at around 10:25 a.m.

The technical problem, which lasted more than an hour, caused long lines at the station. The MRT-3 did not say what time the operation normalized.

A train stalled at the Magallanes station at around 1:05 p.m. due to another technical problem. The MRT-3 said it did not unload commuters but did not mention what time it resumed normal operation.

At around 3:37 p.m., commuters were forced to get off a train due to a technical problem between the North Avenue and Quezon Avenue stations.

Three minutes later, another technical problem forced commuters yet again to get off a train.
