LIST: Road closures, alternate routes in Pasig for Paskotitap 2016

MANILA, Philippines — The Traffic and Parking Management Office  (TPMO) of Pasig City and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) released a traffic security plan for December 11 in celebration of Paskotitap 2016 in Pasig City.

Pasig City released the traffic advisory to give way to the float parade in one of the city's Christmas Season events, in which many schools are participating.

A crowd of 2,000 is expected to watch the parade.

“This traffic security plan set forth the concept and operational guidelines to ensure smooth flow of traffic during the events of Paskotitap 2016, to be conducted on December 11 at Frontera Verde, Tiendesitas,” TPMO said.

For its part, the MMDA advised motorists to take alternate routes and apologized for the inconvenience.

Below is the list of roads closed and alternate routes for motorists.

Roads closed

• Frontera Verda (1 p.m. - 8 p.m.)

• Eagle Street (7 p.m. - 9 p.m.)

• Dr. Sixto Antonio Avenue (6 p.m.- 9 p.m.)

• Ortigas Avenue – Eastbound from Greenmeadows to Dr. Sixto Antonio Avenue (6 p.m.- 7 p.m.)

• E. Rodriguez Avenue – From Eagle Street to Ortigas Avenue (6 p.m.- 7 p.m.)

• Pasig Boulevard – Vargas Bridge/Rotonda (7 p.m. - 9 p.m.)

• A. Mabini Street (7 p.m. - 9 p.m.)

• Plaza Rizal Intersection (8 p.m. - 9 p.m.)

• Caruncho Avenue – Both direction (8 p.m. - 11 p.m.)

Alternate Routes

• All vehicles going to Rotonda from Shaw Boulevard and Bagong Ilog via Vargas bridge – Take M. Flores Street to cross Sta. Rosa De Lima, left to A. Luna to destination.

• All vehicles going to Tiendesitas/SM Hypermart from Ortigas Avenue –Take E. Rodriguez Avenue (C-5 Road) to destination

• All vehicles going to Dr. Sixto Antonio Avenue from C-5 road – Take Ortigas Avenue Extension to destination

• All vehicles going to Dr. Sixto Antonio Avenue from Ortigas Avenue Extension – Take C. Raymundo Avenue to destination

• All vehicles going to Eastern Rizal/Tiendesitas via Ortigas Avenue – Take Rodriguez / Lanuza Street, left to J. Vargas to destination

• All vehicles going to eastern Rizal/Marikina from C-5 road – Take Ortigas Fly-over, right Industria Street to cross Manalo bridge to Amang Rodriguez avenue to destination

• All vehicles going to eastern Rizal/floodway from Ortigas avenue extension – Take Greenmeadows Street, right to E. Rodriguez avenue, left to Industria Street to cross Manalo bridge right to A. Rodriguez avenue to destination
