LRT-1 extends operating hours
MANILA, Philippines - The Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1) will operate until 11 p.m. starting today to accommodate more late-night commuters during the Christmas season.
“From Dec. 3 to 23, there will be additional northbound trains from Baclaran every 10 minutes after 9:30 p.m. and every 15 minutes after 10 p.m. on weekdays,” the Light Rail Manila Corp. (LRMC), which operates the rail line, said in a statement.
“Last train from Baclaran is 11 p.m.,” it added.
The LRMC also said there will be additional trips from Roosevelt on weekdays at 10 p.m., 10:20 p.m., 10:30 p.m., 10:45 p.m. and 11 p.m.
The LRMC has recently added 14 trips to the weekday service hours for early and late night commuters.
