Korean woman hides drugs in underwear

MANILA, Philippines – A Korean woman was arrested for alleged possession of the party drug Ecstasy and dried marijuana leaves, which she concealed in her underwear at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on Tuesday.

Airport officials said Euhno Anh, 24, was bound for Busan, South Korea when she was intercepted at the NAIA Terminal 2.

Judy Anne de Belen of the Office of Transportation Security said Euhno refused to be frisked at the final security counter, saying she was wearing a napkin due to her monthly period.

De Belen doubted Euhno’s alibi and asked her to proceed to the toilet for inspection.

When checked, De Belen said the suspect yielded 117 grams of marijuana leaves and Ecstasy tablets hidden in her panty.

De Belen said Euhno tried to bribe her in exchange for her release.

The suspect was turned over to the custody of the Philippine National Police Aviation Security Group.

Drug charges are being readied against Euhno.
