Taguig-Pateros hospital gets ICU unit

Mike Frialde - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – The Taguig-Pateros District Hospital recently opened its new intensive care unit (ICU).

The ICU will have 10 adult beds, six pediatric beds and 12 for newborns, according to the Taguig City government.

The ICU will be manned by trained doctors and nurses, Mayor Lani Cayetano said.

“We owe it to our constituents. This upgrade in medical treatment is proof of our determination to give the public the best service that the local government can deliver,” Cayetano said.

She said Taguig residents would no longer have to go to neighboring cities to avail themselves of an ICU facility.
