Glitches stop MRT trains 5 times
MANILA, Philippines - The Metro Rail Transit (MRT) encountered technical problems that stopped its operations five times Wednesday.
According to the MRT’s official Twitter account, @dotcmrt3, the first glitch happened at around 7:26 a.m. at the Buendia Station’s southbound tracks, when commuters were told to get off the train. Normal operations resumed three minutes later.
The second problem took place at the Santolan Annapolis station-southbound at around 1:27 p.m. and the rail line resumed operations at around 1:30 p.m.
It was followed by another problem at around 3:11 p.m. that lasted for two minutes at the Guadalupe station-northbound.
The fourth glitch occurred at around 3:51 p.m. at the Magallanes station-northbound and was fixed four minutes later.
The last glitch happened at around 5:10 p.m. at the Santolan Annapolis station-northbound. It lasted around three minutes.
With each incident, commuters were told to get off the affected train.
