Rudy Santos - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Bureau of Immigration (BI) officials at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) arrested Monday night a Chinese bound for Hong Kong for using a fake Philippine passport.

Gen Chen Yap, 29, was intercepted at the NAIA Terminal 2, said Ma. Niriza Salimbagon of the BI travel control and enforcement unit.

He was barred from leaving the country after immigration officers discovered that the departure stamp on his passport was dubious.

During questioning, the Chinese admitted that he paid P100,000 for the fake passport.
