Widow killed at estranged husband’s wake

MANILA, Philippines - A 45-year-old woman in Tondo, Manila was killed at the wake of her estranged husband on Monday night.

China Esplana who had long been separated from her husband, only attended his wake to pay her last respects.

A still unidentified assailant on a motorcycle shot her repeatedly at around 9:30 p.m. Esplana was rushed to Tondo Medical Center, where she died of four gunshot wounds an hour later, Senior Police Officer 3 Glen Vallejo said.
