HCK, SG-ARQ go 2-0 in Monday Squad caging

CEBU, Philippines - The Hard Court Kings and SG-ARQ Builders continued their winning ways in the San Remigio Beach Club-presented Monday Squad Basketball-Cebu (MSBC) Season 2 over the weekend at the Casal's Village gym in Barangay Mabolo, Cebu City.

Janjan Auditor again figured prominently with 23 points as the Hard Court Kings of playing team owner Mark Anthony Ynoc shackled MJ-Z Collections 101, 83-72, while SG-ARQ of Jason Arquisola also cruised to its second straight victory at the expense of In This Corner, 82-76.

Auditor got huge backing from Paco Delantar, Larke Bacatan and Urleo Rizane who connived for 48 points for HCK. Jason Largo unloaded 26 points to no avail for MJ-Z.

 On the other hand, former collegiate standout and commercial veteran Ronan Isidro charted a tournament-high 33 points to lead SG-ARQ's charge. JJ Gesalem and Ger Sala each scored 13 while Kheldon Sereno chipped in with 11 markers for the Builders.

Kenneth Abrantes churned out 26 points and James Cabilino added 13 but their efforts proved futile for ITC.

In the other games, Mark Matidios had 16 points and Archie Dungog added 14 as Tribu vanquished the Warriors, 79-75, while Chris de la Rama exploded for 21 points to power Aspa over the struggling defending champion Silogan Ni Gian, 64-61. (FREEMAN)
