Asleep behind the wheel

OF ALL PLACES… You often hear about a driver falling asleep behind the wheel, but what about a passenger falling asleep…riding a motorcycle-for-hire (habal-habal) no less.

A source said he often falls asleep while riding a habal-habal from Malubog to Lahug in Cebu City if he didn't get enough sleep the night before.

This usually happens when he takes the "forward" position; on the gas tank, directly in front of the driver. Apparently he knows the route so well he just leans in the direction the motorcycle turns during the journey.

"Kasagaran inig larga gikan sa Malubog makatog nako ana, inig mata nako naa nako sa Lahug," he told The EAR.
