Front-seat discussion

Modernization. A jeepney driver and his passenger at the front-seat were overheard discussing the news about President Duterte taunting the transport group the other day, asking them to embrace public transport modernization. A passenger told The Ear that the driver asked the passenger's idea if such modernization covers all jeepney units, including those multicabs which are newly acquired. The passenger just quipped: "maayo pa'ng apilon tanan aron way mahay."

Franchise. But another passenger interrupted the discussion by saying: "kun di apilon tanan, di nato mahibaw-an pila ka PUJ units ang nagdagan with illegally issued franchise. Gituyo na ni Duterte aron mahibaw-an unsa kalawom ang corruption sa issuance sa franchise inig ilis na sa mga modern units."
