Rude driver “mobbed”

While jeepneys assigned to the 12D route should turn left to Colon St. from Junquera St. and make their way to the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral (except for Fridays), many 12D drivers now choose to cut the route and turn right to Colon St. before turning right to Pelaez St. They do this especially when they see they do not have many passengers.

But when one driver told his passengers he was cutting the trip short, an elderly couple protested, insisting they paid to be taken all the way to the cathedral. The driver insisted he was not going there anymore and an argument ensued.

It was only when other passengers took the side of the couple that the driver relented, although he kept grumbling all the way.
