Seno pulls golden double in Thailand netfest

CEBU, Philippines — The multi-titled Cebuano netter Jan Godfrey Seno spearheaded Team CitiGreen's successful campaign in the HatYai-100 Plus International Junior Tennis Championships in HatYai, Thailand the other day.

Seno bagged gold in the boys 18-under singles and in the doubles event as well.

The pride of Bogo City downed Malaysia’s Muhammad Shabil bin Md Shaharuddin, 8-6, to claim the boys U18 title. He then clinched the doubles gilt together with Zamboanga’s Jose Maria Pague after beating their fellow countrymen Ibarra Ortega Jr. and Stephen Zion Guia, 8-6.

Tiffany Clair Nocos and Elizabeth Abarquez were the other Cebuano medalists for Team CitiGreen with bronze each in the girls 12 under and 18 under doubles, respectively. (FREEMAN)
