CEBU, Philippines — Reigning CESAFI champions University of the Visayas (UV) Green Lancers and the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Jaguars gun for crucial wins as the elimination round of the 2nd Asia-Pacific University Games (APUG) basketball event concludes today at the Cebu Coliseum.
The Lancers will go up against the Jangxi Provincial Pingxiang Experimental School of China at 5 p.m., right before the Jaguars will take on the Universiti of Technologi Mara ballclub of Malaysia in the main match at 6:30 p.m.
In the 3:30 p.m. opener, the University of San Carlos (USC) Warriors and the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) Panthers will test each other's mettle.
The Lancers and the Jaguars are heavily favored against their foreign rivals, who are still winless when ranged against the local teams.
